We love finding owls in antique and vintage jewellery. They hold such lovely symbolism, including wisdom and knowledge. This really sweet vintage gold owl is perched upon a branch. The gold is different tones to highlight the bird's features and its eyes have red enamel detailing too.
The charm is made of 9ct gold, with British hallmarks to the back including the maker's mark 'C&F' for Cropp & Farr, 9ct gold, Birmingham and the date letter 'J' for 1958.
The charm weighs approx 1.4g in total and measures approx 16.5mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 8.7mm wide by approx 3.3mm deep.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but it does show some signs of age and wear, including surface wear to the gold and enamel eyes. There is a faint discolouration mark to the top part of the owl on the back, likely from an old gold test. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
