We love to find moving vintage and antique charms, and we've never found one quite like this before! With a detailed golden squirrel, when the lever is turned at the side of the tree trunk, the squirrel's arms raise as if it's going to take a nibble of an acorn!
This rare charm is made of 9ct gold and has British hallmarks to the back of the tree trunk for the maker 'PPLD', and then further hallmarks to the side of the squirrel's tail for 9ct gold, Birmingham and the date letter 'E' for 1954.
The charm weighs approx 2.25g and it measures approx 13.6mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 9.2mm wide by approx 9mm deep.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show some signs of age and wear including surface wear to the gold. There looks to be the tiniest traces of enamel in places but the majority of the enamel has now worn away. The lever mechanism works well and the arms move as they should. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see the photos.
*Please note the antique box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
