This vintage gold sewing machine charm is such a sweet piece! Perfect for a sewing enthusiast to wear as a pendant or add to their charm collection. It has such lovely detailing throughout and is three dimensional too so it looks so pretty from all angles. The wheel at the end even moves!
The charm is made of 9ct gold and has British hallmarks on the bottom for the maker 'FM', 9ct gold, what looks to be the London Assay Mark (this is now quite hard to read clearly) and the date letter 'T' which is for 1954.
The charm weighs approx 1.4g and measures approx 9.7mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 14.6mm wide by approx 8.4mm deep.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear, including some surface wear to the gold. The wheel turns and does move an arm that runs along the sewing machine. There could have once been a small pin that attached this to the needle arm so it moved when the wheel was turned but this now looks to be missing so the needle arm doesn't move. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
