This vintage gold monkey is such a fun charm - it's almost like a teeny tiny fidget charm! Featuring a little monkey on a pole, it's articulated so the monkey can be pushed up the pole as if it's climbing. There's even some very sweet red, black and blue enamel detailing for a little pop of colour too.
The charm is made of 9ct gold and has British hallmarks for 9ct gold, and what looks to be the London Assay hallmark although this isn't very clear. The date letter is 'T' which along with the London Assay hallmark would be for 1954. The charm is also marked for the maker 'FM'.
The charm measures approx 17.4mm tall when the monkey is at its lowest on the pole, it's approx 21mm tall when the monkey is at the top of the pole. It measures approx 9.1mm wide (not including the jump ring) by approx 4.2mm deep and weighs approx 1.3g.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear including some loss of the enamel in places. The jump ring is currently pushed closed . Please see photos.
*Please note the antique chain and box pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch*
.
