How fun is this vintage gold whistle charm!? We love finding charms that open or move as they often hold a hidden surprise. This whistle charm reads 'WOLF WHISTLE' to the outside and is also wonderfully decorated. It opens to reveal a tiny gold wolf inside!
The charm is made of 9ct gold with British hallmarks for the maker 'F.H.L', 9ct gold, Birmingham and the date letter 'C' for 1952.
The charm measures approx 19.8mm long/tall (not including the jump ring at the top) by approx 10.5mm wide by approx 10.2mm deep and weighs approx 4.1g in total.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear, including some surface wear to the gold. The word ‘Wolf’ is a little rubbed to the outside. The hinge still works well and the charm clicks firmly closed. The charm does close very tightly and can be a little tricky to open (we have to use a fingernail to get in between the two halves to help open the charm. It’s likely it hasn’t been opened much throughout its life as usually we have the opposite problem of charms having been opened a lot and becoming quite loose!). The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
