We love how this vintage gold bunny/hare charm looks like she's mid leap! She has lovely flowing ears so we think she's likely modelled on a hare, but could be a rabbit. We'll let you decide!
This little hare/rabbit does look to have lived quite the life and is now missing a section of one of her back legs.
The charm has British hallmarks for 9ct gold. There's also a maker's mark that's hard to read and a Assay and date letter hallmark that looks to be an 'N'. If the assay hallmark was for London, this would date the charm to 1948 but this is hard to make out clearly.
The charm measures approx 6mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 18.4mm long by approx 3.5mm deep and weighs approx 1.3g in total.
Condition - The charm shows significant signs of age and wear, including surface wear to the gold and as mentioned above, one of the back legs has had a section broken off. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the antique box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch. *
