This beautiful vintage sterling silver and rose gold fob has been given a new lease of life in our Engraved With Love collection. Each piece is lovingly picked and engraved with a word or phrase, making them the perfect love token or personalised gift.
We found this vintage silver fob with a blank rose gold washed shield, just calling out to be engraved with a sweet sentiment. We engraved the quote 'Be with me always' taken from Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights.
To the front of the fob there is also a beautiful detailing to the silver too, framing the rose gold washed shield. The fob also has its original British hallmarks on the back for the maker 'WHH', Birmingham, sterling silver and the date letter A for 1925. There is also a registered number which reads 'RD 701718'.
We've strung the engraved fob on a new sterling silver belcher link chain so it's ready to wear. The chain measures approx 18 inches long and has a second ring so it can also be worn at 16 inches long using the bolt ring clasp. The tag near the clasp is marked '925' for sterling silver. The chain link measures approx 1.6mm wide and the chain weighs approx 2.2g in total.
The fob measures approx 30.1mm tall (including the ring at the top) by approx 25.2mm wide and weighs approx 6.65g.
Condition - the fob is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear, including surface wear to both the silver and rose gold. There is a noticeable mark to the rose god shield to the right above the word 'always'. Please see photos.
