We love searching for vintage and antique charms as you never know quite what you're going to find next. Just like this rare and unusual parachuting gold heart!
We love how the heart is suspended from the parachute so it moves when worn, and the parachute has been made three dimensionally too, such an intriguing touch! We’re not completely sure of it’s meaning, but we like to this it symbolises keeping your heart safe, perhaps when you give it to someone special?!
The charm is made out of 18ct gold, with the jump ring marked '750'. The heart is hollow in the middle. Without full British hallmarks, it's hard to date the charm exactly but we think it's likely circa 1960s in age.
The charm measures approx 17.7mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 9.5mm wide by approx 7.7mm deep and the charm weighs approx 0.65g in total.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear, including surface wear to the gold. The jump ring is currently soldered closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the chain and box pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch*
