A timeless classic, this vintage gold heart padlock is such a versatile piece to add to your jewellery box. It's so rare to find a padlock that actually opens and closes with a key too! The latch only opens when the key is inserted into the lock and turned. 
 
Often used as clasps for charm bracelets, these padlocks can also be added onto chains and worn as a pendant and you can even add charms to them and use them as charm holders too!
With this one having a key, you could even split the two, with your loved one wearing the heart padlock and the person who holds the key to your heart wearing the key! 
 
The padlock is made of 14ct gold and is marked '14k'. The key is attached by a fine gold chain so it stays with the padlock. 
 
The padlock measures approx 14.2mm tall by approx 8.8mm wide by approx 2mm deep. The key measures approx 9.4mm tall by approx 4.7mm wide 1.7mm deep. The padlock, key and chain altogether weigh approx 1g.
 
Condition - The padlock is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear, including surface wear to the gold. The padlock closes with a click and stays closed until it is opened with the attached key. Please see photos.
