The perfect wearable reminder that time is precious! This vintage gold and glass hourglass charm actually has grains inside that move from top to bottom like a real hourglass. The side pieces of the gold frame are really pretty too with a rope/twist design.
 
The frame of the hourglass is made of 14ct gold with the attached bail being marked 'SM14K' The frame holds the glass hourglass inside which has white and grey coloured grains inside that moves like a real hourglass from top to bottom when the charm is tipped. We think these could be very small diamond chips/pieces as they do look to sparkle when the light catches them but we can't test them to be sure as they are trapped inside the hourglass.
 
The charm measures approx 26.8mm tall (including the bail at the top) by approx 14.1mm wide by approx 9.9mm deep and weighs approx 3g.
 
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some light signs of age and wear, including some light surface wear to the gold. The glass hourglass rests inside the gold frame, it isn't glued, so there is some movement of it but it is trapped inside the frame and cannot come out. The bail is currently soldered closed.
