Opals have to be one of our all time favourite stones. Just look at those colour flashes! This beautiful little round opal cabochon has such pretty pops of colour when the light catches it at different angles, including blues, greens and oranges - it's like staring through a porthole at a galaxy!

The pendant is made of 9ct yellow gold with British hallmarks to the back for the maker 'EWA', 9ct gold, London. There is also a date hallmark but it is quite worn and hard to make out fully. We think it might be 'g' for 2006.

The pendant measures approx 11.4mm tall (including the bail) by approx 6.9m wide by approx 4.1mm deep and the opal measures approx 6.1mm in diameter (please note it is difficult to measures the stone exactly whilst it is in its setting). The pendant weighs approx 0.7g.

Condition - The pendant is in good second hand condition with just some very light surface wear to the opal that is only really visible under magnification. There is also some light surface wear to the gold. The opal moves ever so slightly in the setting but is secure. Please note that the bail is fixed in place. Please see photos.

*Please note the antique box pictured and the chain are not included in the sale but the pendant will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
