Pigs have been seen as symbols of luck for many years. This early vintage gold pig is such a sweet charm, from its detailed face to its little curly tail, it even has two ruby gemstone eyes too.
The charm is made of 9ct gold, unhallmarked but tested. The charm measures approx 10.6mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 20.2mm long nose to tail by approx 5.6mm deep and weighs approx 1.2g in total. The charm is hollow in the centre and has two air holes from when it was first made - one underneath the tail and one on the bottom of the front left foot.
Without hallmarks, it's hard to date exactly but we think it's likely early 20th Century in age, it could possibly even be a little earlier than this.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some signs of age and wear including some surface wear to the gold and ruby eyes. The jump ring is currently soldered closed. Please see photos.
