We can't help but be reminded of a clear, crisp night sky whenever we look at this antique gold ring. It's set with three old cut diamonds in star settings that almost look like real twinkling stars.
Perhaps you're a night owl or a lover of all things celestial - if so we think this ring would be perfect for you! Diamonds are also the birthstone for April babies so this would make a beautiful birthstone piece. We even think it could make a gorgeous symbolic ring for a family of three, each with you're own little star. Or perhaps you're getting married and looking for a more unusual engagement or wedding ring?! The symbolism is almost endless!
The ring is made of 18ct yellow gold and has British hallmarks inside the shank for the maker's mark 'R.S & Co', 18ct gold, Birmingham and the date letter 'a' for 1900.
Ring size - approx a US 6 / approx a UK L 1/2 (please note that the ring is quite chunky in size to the front which can make rings wear a little snugger than what they measure up at on a ring mandrel)
The ring weighs approx 4.25g and it measures approx 7.3mm wide at the front, tapering down to approx 3.75mm wide at the back of the shank. The diamonds can't be measured precisely whilst in their settings, but the centre stone is approx 3mm in diameter, with the two outer diamonds being smaller, approx 2.2mm in diameter each.
Condition - The ring is in good antique condition to say it is over 100 years old but does show signs of age and wear, including some surface wear to the gold and diamonds. The diamonds have natural inclusions. Please see photos - the last three photos have been taken with a magnifying loupe so you can see the diamonds under magnification.
*Please note the antique box pictured is not included in the sale but the ring will be shipped in a new presentation ring box and pouch*
