We struggle to resist antique and vintage snake jewellery and this particular piece is such an unusual snake! Shaped like an infinity symbol, the snake forms a continuous loop with its head connected to its tail. The snake is set with a faux pearl to its head and its body is set with faux rose cut paste stones that twinkle in the light beautifully.
The snake is made of silver, unhallmarked, and the back has a gold wash to it.
It weighs approx 3.8g and measures approx 30.4mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 18.3mm wide by approx 3.1mm deep.so your jump rings/bails need to be large enough to accomodate this.
Condition - The snake is in good antique condition but does show considerable signs of age and wear. There is surface wear to the silver and paste stones, two of the rose cut pastes have noticeable chips and one, the one nearest the snake's head, is likely a replacement as it looks to be a different style cut to the others. The snake's eyes look to also once have had some sort of paste stone set in them but these are now missing. The jump ring has been looped around the snake and moves along the tail. It is currently soldered closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the antique box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the snake will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
