These antique gold hoooks have become highly sought after over the last few years. Originally it would likely have once been part of an antique watch chain but today they are often being used as chain extenders, interesting pendants, or even as charm holders. Such a versatile piece of jewellery!
The hook is made of 9ct gold, unhallmarked but tested. Without hallmarks, it's hard to date exactly but we think it's likely late victorian in age. It also features a dog clip clasp to the top too so it can easily be clipped onto chains.
The hook measures approx 38.4mm tall including the dog clip by approx 14.1mm wide and weighs approx 2.35g.
Condition - The hook is in good antique condition with some surface wear to the gold throughout. The gold is quite light/pale in tone/colour. The dog clip still opens and closes well. Please see photos.
