Known as a protective stone, turquoise is said to bring power, luck and protection to its wearer. This vibrant oval turquoise cabochon is set in a beautiful flush rose gold setting making it such a timless and comfotable ring to wear.
The ring is made of 9ct gold which has such a lovely soft rose tone to it, this is due to the alloys used to make 9ct gold at this time differ to those used today which makes a much brighter, redder shade of rose gold. The ring has British hallmarks inside the shank for the maker 'T&S', 9ct gold, Chester and the date letter 'G' for 1907. There is also a second 9ct gold hallmark near the back of the turquoise setting.
The ring measures approx 5.5mm wide at the front and the shank tapers down to approx 2mm wide at the back. The ring weighs approx 1.55g.
Ring size - UK K / approx a US 5.25
Condition - The ring is in good antique condition but does show some signs of age and wear including some light surface wear to the gold and turquoise. There is a faint dark line on one of the shoulder's of the ring which could be from either a previous resize or is from when the ring was originally made. Please see photos.
*Please note the antique ring box pictured is not included in the sale but the ring will be shipped in a new ring box and pouch.*
