These antique dog clip clasps make fantastic charm holders! Originally it would have once been part of an antique watch chain but it could now be added onto a chain of your choosing to use as a clasp as intended, or it could be worn on a necklace as a pendant with charms clipped onto it. Such a versatile piece of jewellery to say it's over 100 years old!
The dog clip is made of 9ct gold, marked '9c' to one side, and the top loop swivels.
The clip measures approx 21.3mm long, 7.8mm wide by approx 5.6mm deep and weighs approx 1.6g.
Condition - The dog clip is in good antique condition with some surface wear to the gold throughout. The spring mechanism still works well. The top loop that swivels looks to have been cut open at some point in time and is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
