If you love interesting and intriguing jewels then this is the perfect ring for you! The signet ring's face features a hand engraved winged heart.
The ring is made of 9ct gold with a lovely old warm rosey tone to it. The ring has British hallmarks inside the shank for 9ct gold, Birmingham and what looks to be the date letter X for 1922. There are two maker’s marks, one is well rubbed and can’t be made out and the other reads ‘WALKER’. There could be two maker’s marks due to a previous ring resize as there is a mark inside the shank that looks like the ring could have been resized at some point in time.
Ring size - approx a UK Q 1/4- Q 1/2 / approx a US 8 1/4
The ring weighs approx 2.7g and the face measures approx 11.5mm by 11.3mm. The shank tapers down to approx 2.75mm wide at the back of the shank. The ring is quite thin and light, with the face measuring approx 0.95mm thick.
Condition - The ring shows considerable signs of age and wear including surface wear to the gold throughout, inside and outside of the shank. The ring is now out of round and is misshapen. The ring has a well worn and lived in feel due to its condition and has been priced accordingly. Please see photos.
*Please note the antique box pictured is not included in the sale but the ring will be shipped in a new presentation ring box and pouch*
