We love finding patterned ring bands, as well as making lovely wedding rings, they also make great stacking rings too! This antique, Victorian 18ct gold ring has fantastic crisp hallmarks inside the shank dating it to London, 1896 - we just wish we know about the life it's led before ending up with us!
The ring is made of 18ct yellow gold and has hallmarks inside the band for the maker 'JHP', 18ct gold, London and the date letter 'a' for 1896. The ring has a lovely swirl like pattern hand engraved to the outside all the way around too.
The ring weighs approx 3.7g and measures approx 3.5mm wide.
Ring size - approx a US size 5.5 / approx a UK K 1/2 - L (please note that due to the pattern all the way around the band, we wouldn't recommend resizing the ring)
Condition - The ring is in good antique condition for a piece of this age but it does show some signs of age and wear, including surface wear to the gold. The pattern is a little irregular but we think this just adds to its charm! Please see photos.
