This vintage silver opening egg charm is one of the most beautiful egg charms we've ever found. The open filigree work to the egg is so pretty and is to both sides too. Not only is the egg beautifully decorated to the outisde but the egg opens in half to reveal a tiny silver bird in flight inside too!
The charm is made of sterling silver and is marked 'SILVER' to the inside of the egg.
The charm measures approx 23.1mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 12.1mm wide by approx 12.3mm deep and weighs approx 3.9g in total.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show some signs of age and wear. The two halves of the egg don't quite line up properly when the egg is closed. The catch doesn't work but due to where the hinge is on the egg, when it is hanging it is closed but it can open by itself when worn. The egg is sightly dented to one side. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
