Here's what's inside box four of our 12 Days of Christmas (or Charm-mas if you will!) Advent Calendar... a vintage gold Christmas stocking charm - imagine waking up to find this little charm in your Christmas stocking! The charm is available at the special festive discounted price until we open box five at 6pm GMT (5th December 2023) too.
The charm is made of 9ct gold, unhallmarked but tested, and has such sweet details - including lots of toys poking out of the top to show that Santa has been! The charm has wonderful detailing to both sides and is hollow in the middle.
Without hallmarks, it's hard to date the charm exactly but we think it's likely circa 1950s in age. The gold has a lovely warm rose tone to it.
The charm measures approx 27.6mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 11mm wide by approx 3.2mm deep and weighs approx 0.85g in total. The charm is hollow in the middle.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some light surface wear to the gold. There are some very small dings to the gold to the back of the charm. The jump ring is currently soldered closed and has a previous old solder mark. Please see photos.
