We love playing card games at Christmas and this sweet 1970s gold and enamel charm encapsulates so much of that fun. Not only that, but the charm holds a miniature deck of paper cards inside that can actually be removed!
Made of a 9ct gold case, two sides have an open space to show the deck of cards inside. Another of the sides also has some beautiful detail showing a hand holding four enamel cards, one from each suite. The final side is hinged and actually opens to reveal the deck of cards whcih can be removed.
The charm is made of 9ct yellow gold and has British hallmarks to one side for the maker 'GJLD', 9ct gold, London and the date letter 'D' for 1978.
The charm measures approx 13.5mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 10mm wide by approx 8.7mm deep and weighs approx 2.3g in total.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some signs of age and wear. There is some surface wear to the gold, enamel and the paper cards inside. We haven't checked that ever single card is included in the pack. The hinge mechanism works well and the door closes firmly to stay closed when worn. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Items sent outside of the UK are sent via Royal Mail's International signed for service, which offers insurance for up to £250 and tracking.
