This lovely vintage gold and enamel shield charm has such incredible detail for such a small charm. The enamel work depicts three birds in blue and white, we think these look like storks, and what look to be three lion heads in orange, yellow and black with a white border.

We think it likely represents a town or is possibly linked to a family name. We've tried to find what it links to be sadly it's still currently a bit of a mystery.

The charm is made of 9ct gold with British hallmarks to the back for the maker 'J.W.B', 9ct gold, Birmingham and the date letter 'L' for 1960.

The charm weighs approx 1.2g and measures approx 15.8mm tall (not including the jump ring) by 10.8mm wide.

Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with light surface wear to the gold and the enamel. There is one small chip to the enamel to the left hand side of the white stripe. This looks to have just taken the top clear surface of the enamel and the colour underneath is still intact. The jump ring is currently pushed closed and has an old solder mark. Please see photos.

*Please note the antique box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
