We can't help but fall in love with charms that move and this vintage gold cockerels/roosters charm is such a fun and unusual one - the first we've ever seen like it! When each end of the charm is pushed/pulled, the cockerls/roosters tip towards and away from one another as if they're fighting.
The charm is wonderfully detailed throughout and is detailed to both sides too.
The charm is made of 9ct yellow gold, the charm itself is unhallmarked but tested and the attached jump ring is marked '9ct' for 9ct gold. Without further hallmarks, it's hard to date the charm exactly but we think it's likely circa 1950s in age.
The jump ring is attached to one side of the charm so it hangs vertically when worn. The charm measures approx 32mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 18mm wide by approx 3.6mm deep and the charm weighs approx 1.4g in total. We belive the roosters/cockerels are hollow in the centre.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some light surface wear to the gold. The moving mechanism still works well. The jump ring is currently soldered closed.
