We can't help but be reminded of a clear, crisp night sky whenever we look at this antique gold ring. It's set with an old cut diamond in star setting that almost looks like a real twinkling star.

We love the chunky size of the ring too, it makes it a great statement pointer finger ring. The face of the ring is slightly domed in shape (this is hollow in the centre) giving it a gorgeous side profile too with the old cut diamond peeking out of the top of the ring ever so slightly.
The ring is made of a 9ct soft rose coloured gold and has British hallmarks inside the shank for 9ct gold, Chester and the date letter 'K' for 1910. There is also a maker's mark but it is quite hard to make out clearly.
Ring size - approx a US 8.5 / approx a UK Q 1/2 - R (please note that the ring is quite chunky in size to the front which can make rings wear a little snugger than what they measure up at on a ring mandrel depending on the shape and size of your finger)
The ring weighs approx 3g and it measures approx 9.7mm wide at the front, tapering down to approx 3.6mm wide at the back of the shank. The diamond can't be measured precisely whilst in its setting, but the stone is approx 3.5mm in diameter.
Condition - The ring is in good antique condition to say it is approx 113 years old but does show signs of age and wear, including surface wear to the gold and diamond. We have tried to show this as best we can in the photos however due to the gold's reflective surface it is quite hard to capture in places. The diamond has natural inclusions and one of the claw tips looks to be a little worn. Please see photos - the last photo has been taken with a magnifying loupe so you can see the diamond under magnification.
