'No grit, no pearl.' We like to think that this vintage gold shell with pearl necklace is a perfect wearable reminder that sometimes life knocks you down and you have to endure some rough patches but these only make you a stronger, more beautiful human being in the process!
The pendant has lovely detailing to both sides of the shell and is set with a little pearl inside too. It comes complete wiht the 9ct gold chain pictured so it is ready to wear.
The charm is made of 9ct yellow gold and has British hallmarks to the back for the maker 'PPLD' (this mark is now a little worn away), 9ct gold, Birmingham and the date letter 'L' for 1960. The chain is also made of 9ct gold and is marked '9ct' to the bolt ring clasp.
The neckalce weighs approx 2.6g in total and the shell pendant measures approx 13mm wide by approx 18.5mm tall (including the bail at the top) by approx 6.7mm deep. The pearl meaures approx 5mm in diameter. The chain measures approx 17 inches long and the link is approx 1.5mm wide.
Condition - The neckalce is in good vintage condition with some light surface wear to the gold and pearl. The pearl does have some noticeable surface wear when closely inspected. The necklace clasp still works well. Please see photos.
