Rare and highly collectable, we completely fell head over heals in love as soon as we saw this vintage silver bean charm! A symbol of luck, as well as rebirth and new beginnings, we love how the jump ring is attached to the middle so the bean hangs horizontally when worn, usually they are designed to hang vertically.
The charm is made of sterling silver, unhallmarked but tested. Without full hallmarks, it's hard to date the charm exactly but we think it likely dates to around the 1950s. The bean is hollow in the middle.
The charm measures approx 11mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 18.1mm wide by approx 4mm deep and weighs approx 0.9g in total. The charm is hollow in the middle and has been made by joining two halves of the bean together so there is a faint seam line that run down either side.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear, including surface wear to the silver. There are some dings in places. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
