This incredibly sweet vintage silver and enamel envelope charm is a lovely rare and collectable one! The enamel features faux handwriting with an address that reads:
'Edna George,
6 Clarendon Road,
Morecambe.'
There is also a tiny blue stamp detail and also a post mark that reads 'BIRMINGHAM 1 Jan 1945', the New Year’s Day before WWII ended later that year.
The charm is made of sterling silver and is marked 'SILVER' to the back. The charm measures approx 11.2mm tall (not including the ring or jump rings) by approx 17.2mm wide by aprox 1.2mm deep and weighs approx 2.15g in total.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some surface wear to the gold and enamel. The enamel does have some small chips and nibbles to the edges. There are two jump rings, one is currently pushed closed and the other is currently soldered closed. Please see photos.
