Vintage enamel charms are one of our absolute favourites to find and this vintage enamel playing card charm is such a rare one to find and one of the largest enamel playing card charms we've ever seen!
Highly collectable, the charm has such lovely enamel detailing to the front depicting the Kindg of Clubs. And just like a playing card, the enamel design is mirrored and flipped so the card can be seen/read from either way around. Perhaps you love to play cards or you just love things in miniature!
The charm is made of a silver-coloured base metal, it does look like a low grade silver but when tested it doesn't test positive for silver. The ring that the jump ring connects to has some marks to it but they are hard to make out. One looks to be the number '8'.
The charm measures approx 23.1mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 14.3mm wide by approx 1.4mm deep and weighs approx 3g.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show significant signs of age and wear to both the metal and enamel. There is a chip to the surface of the enamel to the left of the top King's head. This chip is most noticeable when the light catches it from a side angle. The metal has surface wear and scratches and there is some tarnishing in places. The jump ring is currently pushed closed and is a little out of shape. Please see photos.
