What three wishes would you ask for if you had a magic genie lamp? We can't guarantee that this vintage gold genie lamp charm is magical, but it does make a lovely statement when worn and the lid even opens too! Perhaps it could be a lucky charm for its new owner!?
The charm is made of 9ct yellow gold and has British hallmarks for what looks to be either the maker 'C&TJ' or 'G&TJ', 9ct gold, London and the date letter 'r' for 1972.
The lid of the lamp is hinged and can be opened and the lamp has beautiful detailing throughout too, including pretty openwork detailing. The charm weighs approx 4.4g and measures approx 29mm long from handle to spout by approx 15mm tall by approx 9.5mm deep. The charm doesn't have a jump ring attached but the handle opening is quite wide and so a chain or charm holder can be threaded directly onto the charm.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some light surface wear to the gold. There are some small orange marks to the top of the lamp near the spout but these are only noticeable on close inspection (The blue colour noticeable inside the lamp on one of the photos is a reflection and not a mark to the gold). The opening lid does still open well and close securely to stay closed when worn, however there is a bit of a gap between the lamp and the lid, mainly to one side, when closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the chain and box pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch*
