One of three birthstones for June, moonstone is such a magical looking stone. Said to promote inner strength and growth, this vintage moonstone ring displays such beautiful shades of blue when the light catches it. 
 
We love that the moonstone has been cut into a heart shape and at the top is a little pearl se tin a silver star setting which is also one of the birthstones for June!
 
The ring is made of 9ct gold and inside the band is marked '9ct'. The shank is nice and thick and the shoulders have been made in a tapered design making the ring nice and comfortable to wear.
 
Ring size - approx a US  6.5 / approx a UK M 1/2
 
The moonstone heart in the setting measures approx 7.1mm East to West. Including the pearl set star at the top, the ring’s face measures approx 13mm North to South. The moonstone stands 7.3mm tall in its setting (including the setting at the bottom) giving the ring's face some lovely height when worn and a great side profile too! The ring shank is approx 2.9mm wide at the back of the ring. The ring weighs approx 2.35g.
 
Condition - The ring is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear to the gold, moonstone and seed pearl. As with most moonstone gemstones, when in the light at certain angles, the stone glows a beautiful blue shade and at other angles the stone can appear almost grey/semi clear. There is what looks to be old glue residue when the ring is looked at through a loupe to both the moonstone and seed pearl. We think the moonstone and pearl star face of the ring could have been from an older piece of jewellery, possibly a stick pin, and it has been converted into a ring at some point in time.
