These vintage gold man in the moon drop earrings make such a lovely statement when worn. With post backs and a lightweight design, they are also super comfy to wear too making them a great everyday earring choice.
The earrings are made of 9ct yellow gold and the posts have British hallmarks for the maker 'IBB', 9ct gold and the Sheffield import mark. Without a date hallmark, it's hard to date the earrings exactly but the 9ct gold mark used was in use between 1975 and 1998 so we think they liekly date to around the 1990s.
The moon faces are detailed to both sides and they are hollow in the middle, keeping the earrings nice and light. Each moon face is suspended from a kite shaped piece of gold which hides the post backs when worn, giving the earrings lovely movement when worn.
Each moon measures approx 22mm tall by approx 8mm wide. the entire earring measures approx 30mm long. Each earring with the post back and butterfly fastening weighs approx 0.8g each.
Condition - The earrings are in good vintage condition with some light signs of age and wear, including some surface wear to the gold. One of the moons has a very tiny ding, only visible on close inspection. Please see photos. The earrings will be steralized before shipping.
