There's something so intriguing about key jewellery. We love that keys hold such symbolism, from unlocking someone's heart to moving into your first home or moving house. Keys are said to be a symbol of freedom, new beginnings and knowledge and this vintage gold key charm is the first we've found along with a gold miniature door too!
We love that this vintage gold charm could symbolise a special birthday, such as a 21st or 18th, or moving into your first home.
The charm is so wonderfully detailed throughout and is made of 9ct yellow gold. The key and the door charm are separate from one another, joined by a connecting gold jump ring so they have lovely movement when worn. The door charm has faint British hallmarks to one side for the maker 'GN', 9ct gold, Birmingham and the date letter 'T' for 1993.
The door measures approx 24.1mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 10.4mm wide and the key measures approx 19.3mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 6.5mm wide. The charm weighs approx 2.45g in total.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show some light signs of age and wear including some surface wear and to the gold. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
