Just look at this vintage gold bunny rabbit nibbling on a carrot! He has such wonderful detailing throughout, with the top and bottom made of gold, including the carrot that has enamel detailing too, and his middle is made of a piece of orange cut glass.
The charm is made of 9ct gold and has British hallmarks on the bottom for the maker 'RP' 9ct gold and Birmingham. There is also a date letter but it's a little tricky to make out. The 9ct gold hallmark dates the charm to pre 1975, we think it's likely 1960s/ early 1970s in age. The top third of the rabbit, including the rabbit's arms and carrot, and the bottom third of the rabbit including its legs and tail, are made of gold. These two pieces of gold are connected by a central piece of cut glass which is a lovely pale orange colour.
The charm measures approx 21.8mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 9.6mm wide by approx 13.7mm deep and weighs approx 4g in total.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show some signs of age and wear. There is some light surface wear to the gold and glass stone. There is also quite a bit of enamel loss to the carrot. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
