Rare and highly collectable, we completely fell head over heals in love as soon as we saw this vintage gold bean charm! A symbol of luck, as well as rebirth and new beginnings, it even has a lovely little pink glass stone set near the top too.
The back of the bean has a lovely textured effect to the gold whereas the front is smoother but this does now show signs of age and wear.
The charm is made of 9ct gold, marked '9c' to the back (this mark is now quite worn due to age and wear). Without further marks, it's hard to date exactly but we believe it's early-mid 20th Century in age.
The charm measures approx 19.3mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 8.2mm wide by approx 5mm deep and weighs approx 1.75g in total. The charm is hollow in the middle and has been made by joining two halves of the bean together so there is a faint seam line that runs around the sides and two small air holes, one to the top and one to the bottom of the charm.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear, including some light indents and surface wear to the gold and the glass stone. The jump ring is currently soldered closed. Please see photos.
