This vintage gold and jade axe charm is such an unusual one. The carved jade is beautifully smooth to touch and the 9ct gold handle has a lovely, slightly curved shape. The jade is such a stunning deep green colour which lightens slightly when the light shines though it too.

Jade is said to be a protective stone, protecting the wearer from harm and increasing love and nurturing so it would make a lovely talisman piece.

The axe head/blade itself is made of a single piece of carved and polished jade which has been drilled and set on the 9ct gold handle. The handle is marked '9c' for 9ct gold and there is also a maker's mark but this is now rubbed and hard to make out clearly.

The charm weighs approx 1.15g and measures approx 36mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 11.2mm wide at the top by approx 3.9mm deep at the top.

Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some signs of age including some light surface wear to the gold and jade. The jade axe head/blade does have a small chip to it on the top edge. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.

*Please note the chain and box pictured are not included in the sale but the pendant/charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch*
