This vintage gold and enamel crown charm is fit for a king or queen! It's unhallmarked so it's hard to date exactly, but we think it dates to the 1950s, most likely to 1953 to mark to Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.
The charm is made of 9ct gold, tested as it's unhallmarked, and has lovely red enamel detailing to the front too. The crown is plain to the reverse.
The charm measures approx 12.8mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 12mm wide. The charm weighs approx 1.15g in total.
Condition - The charm does show some signs of age and wear, including some surface wear to the gold and the enamel. The wear to the enamel is more visible in some lights and less so in others. There is an old repair to the ring at the top of the crown that the jump ring attaches on to, the gold of this repair is slightly yellower in colour than the rest of the crown which is quite warm and rosey in colour. The top jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
