A timeless classic, we love finding heart lockets as they just never seem to go out of style and are truly romantic pieces! We love to wonder about what sweet love tokens were originally kept inside.
This vintage heart locket is made of 9ct yellow gold and has a lovely small star set diamond to the front. There is even some white gold detailing around the diamond setting too.
Inside, the locket has space to keep two photos, one on each side of the heart. There are also two small pieces of plastic inside too which we believe are likely original. You could also keep a lock of hair or tiny love letter inside. And what's best is that your love token is hidden away, kept a secret just for you to know unless you choose to show someone!
The jump ring has British hallmarks for 9ct gold and Sheffield. We believe the locket likely dates to circa 1990s.
The locket weighs approx 1.1g and measures approx 12.2mm tall (not including the fitting and bail) by approx 11.8mm wide by approx 3.8mm deep.
Condition - The locket is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age including surface wear to the gold. The locket hinge still works well and the locket closes with a click. The bail is currently soldered closed. The bail is attached to the top left side of the heart so it hangs at an angle when worn. Please see photos.
