We can't help but fall for a vintage gold dog charm when we see one, regardless of the breed! This vintage gold Dachshund dog charm is such a sweetie, with its beautiful detailing to both sides.
The charm is made of 9ct gold and has British hallmarks to the ring at the top for 9ct gold, the London Assay Office import mark and the date letter 'B' for 1976. The jump ring is also marked for 9ct gold. The charm is detailed to both sides and is hollow in the middle with two small airholes from when it was originally made, one to the top of the dog's head and the other on the bottom of the back feet.
The charm measures approx 14.7mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 27.6mm nose to tail by approx 6.9mm deep and weighs approx 1.75g in total.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear, including surface wear to the gold and some tarnishing. There is a gap to the seam line on the dog's chest, the charm is still structurally sound though. The jump ring is currently soldered closed. Please see photos.
