We love coming across celestial charms and this vintage gold man in the moon charm is such a special one! The little gold astronaut is such a lovely touch, it looks as if it's giving the moon a 'boop' on the nose. We think it was likely a piece of memorabilia made in celebration of the first human to land on the moon in 1969, a wearable piece of history!
The charm is wonderfully detailed throughout and we love how the little astronaut is reaching out to touch the moon's nose. It's also a nice large size too so it makes a great charm to wear as a pendant on its own if you'd really like it to stand out, but it can also be mixed in with other charms on a bracelet or necklace.
The charm is made of 9ct yellow gold and has British hallmarks to the back for what looks to be the maker 'PPLD' (this mark is only partially visible), 9ct gold, Birmingham and the date letter 'A' for 1975.
The charm weighs approx 2.7g and measures approx 22mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 16mm wide by approx 4.1mm deep.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some light signs of age and wear, including light surface wear to the gold. The gold jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the antique box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
