A popular motif during the Victorian era, anchors are known to symbolise hope and throughout time they have often been associated with people in the navy, or setting sail on voyages.
This vintage silver large anchor charm/pendant would make the perfect sentimental gift. The anchor has lovely detailing to the front, including a rope that wraps around from top to bottom known as a fouled anchor.
The pendant is made of sterling silver, with British hallmarks to the back for sterling silver, Birmingham and the date letter 'X' for 1973.
The charm/pendant measures approx 37.5mm tall (including the ring at the top but not the jump ring) by approx 29.1mm wide by approx 3.7mm deep and weighs approx 4.65g. The anchor is detailed to the front and plain to the back.
Condition - The charm/pendant is in good vintage condition with some surface wear to the silver. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the antique box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the pendant will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
