This vintage gold opening bird on a nest charm is one of the sweetest opening charms we've ever found. The bird and nest are so beautifully detailed and they are hinged so the bird lifts off the nest to reveal three tiny gold eggs inside!
The charm is made of 9ct gold and has British hallmarks on the bottom of the nest for 9ct gold, Birmingham and the date letter 'Y' for 1973.
The charm measures approx 19.8mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 13mm wide by approx 9.6mm deep and weighs approx 4.45g in total.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some light surface wear to the gold. The hinge mechanism still works well and the charm closes with a click, the bird does however move a somewhat from side to side and up and down when the charm is closed but the catch does stay closed. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
