The perfect wearable reminder that time is precious! This vintage gold and glass hourglass charm actually has sand inside that moves from top to bottom like a real hourglass. The gold frame is beautifully detailed and the charm is a nice large size too, weighing just under 3.5g - a great statement charm to wear in your collection or as a pendant on its own.
The frame of the hourglass is made of 9ct gold with British hallmarks to one of the spindles for 9ct gold, London and the date letter 'S' for 1973. There is also a maker's mark but this is now quite hard to make out fully. The frame holds the glass hourglass inside which has light pink/almost orange coloured sand inside.
The charm measures approx 26.5mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 11.3mm in wide and weighs approx 3.46g.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some light signs of age and wear, including some light surface wear to the gold. The glass hourlass rests inside the gold frame, it isn't glued, so there is some movement of it up and down but it is trapped inside the frame and cannot come out. The jump ring is currently soldered closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
