As jewellery lovers, we fell head over heels when we first laid eyes on this beautiful vintage gold charm! It's a perfect charm for a ring lover or someone who is, or is getting, married.
The charm is made up of three gold rings, all conneted to each other by a small gold jump ring so the charm has lovely movement when worn. There is a plain style gold band, a patterned gold band and an engagement style ring with a little faux gemstone.
The charm is made of 9ct gold, one of the ring bands has British hallmarks for 9ct gold, the other ring band has what looks to be the hallmark for London and a date letter. Sadly the date letter is hard to make out so we can't date the charm exactly but we believe it's likely late 1970s in age as it was found in a collection of other charms that date to the 1960s and 70s.
The engagement ring measures approx 15.3mm tall by approx 11.9mm wide, the plain ring band measures approx 11.8mm in diameter and the patterned ring band measures approx 12mm in diameter. The faux gemstone measures approx 3mm in diameter. The charm weighs approx 2.1g in total.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show signs of age and wear including some light surface wear to the gold and faux gemstone. There is a gold jump ring connected to the jump ring that links the three rings together, this is currently pushed closed. The main ring that connects all three rings together is currently soldered closed. Please see photos.
