We love vintage charms that have movement. The attention to detail in these pieces, especially considering their size, is truly magical! This vintage gold caravan charm is beautifully detailed throughout, right down to the turning wheels, little steps and doorway, right through to the windows that you can actually see through. And the detail doesn't stop there! The charm opens up to reveal an enamelled fortune teller sat inside over a crystal ball, all made of 9ct gold.
The charm is made of 9ct gold and has British hallmarks on one side for the maker 'FM', 9ct gold, London and the date letter 'p' for 1970.
The charm measures approx 14.7mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 15.8mm wide by approx 9.9mm deep and weighs approx 3.55g.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some light surface wear to the gold. Then enamel detail inside is in very good condition. There is a spot of green enamel to one of the wheels on the outside but we think this may have been an accident when being made, rather than that the wheels were once all enamelled. The hinge works well and the charm clicks closed to stay closed when worn. The wheels do turn but one set can get a little stuck in places. There is some slight tarnishing to the roof of the caravan. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the antique box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
