Some people believe that horseshoes should be pointing upwards to hold the luck in and others believe they should be pointing downwards to let the luck shower out. Whatever you believe, there's no denying that this is a more unusual horseshoe charm as it also features a cat inside the horseshoe too!

We think it's likely supposed to represent a black cat, also considered a symbol of good luck. The charm has wonderful detailing to the front and is plain to the back.

The back of the charm has British hallmarks for the maker 'AD', 9ct gold, London and the date letter 'n' for 1968.

The charm weighs just approx 2.35g and measures approx 15mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 13.5mm wide by approx 4.4mm deep.

Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some light surface wear to the gold. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.

*Please note the box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
