These vintage gold bean charms have become highly collectable, and it's easy to see why! A symbol of luck, as well as rebirth and new beginnings, these charms can represent a variety of meanings within a jewellery collection.
This particular vintage gold bean charm dates to the 1960s and has a wonderfully smooth and tactile shape.
The charm is made of 9ct gold and has British hallmarks to one side for the maker 'FM', 9ct gold, London and the date letter 'm' for 1967.
The charm measures approx 21mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 10.5mm wide by approx 5.4mm deep and weighs approx 0.8g in total. The charm is hollow in the middle and has been made by joining two halves of the bean together so there is a faint seam line that runs around the sides.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition with some light signs of age and wear including light surface wear to the gold. There are a couple of very small dings to either side but for a hollow bean charm of this age it is in overall good condition. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the antique box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
