How sweet are these vintage 1966 9ct gold strirrups!? We love hunting for these little charms as you never know what you're going to find in miniature next! They would make a lovely gift for a horse lover, especially someone who loves to ride.
The charm is made of 9ct gold, one of the stirrups has the British hallmark for 9ct gold and the other has the maker's mark 'IJLD' and what looks to be the London assay mark and the date letter 'l' for 1966, these marks are now a little rubbed and worn.
The two stirrups are connected by three gold jump rings so the charm has lovely movement to it when worn. There is also a fourth jump ring so that it can be added onto a charm bracelet or necklace, this ring is also marked for 9ct gold.
Each stirrup measures approx 9.7mm tall by 6.7mm wide by approx 5.2mm deep. The charm measures approx 19.3mm tall in total when including all the jump rings at the top too. The charm weighs approx 1g in total.
Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show some signs of age and wear, including some surface wear to the gold. The top jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.
*Please note the box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
