Bees carry such a lot of symbolism; including fertility, focus, industry and persistence to name just a few things! This vintage heavy gold beehive is such a rare and highly collectable charm. Not only is it a large, heavy piece, it's also incredibly detailed, right down to the two bees on the outside with enamel detailing. The charm even opens up too to reveal hidden message inside; 'You are my queen'.

The charm is made of 9ct yellow gold and has British hallmarks inside for 9ct gold and what looks to be the London Assay mark and also the date letter 'C'  for 1958 (these two marks are quite hard to make out, even when magnified).

The charm measures approx 14.5mm tall (not including the jump ring) by approx 17mm wide by approx 20mm deep and weighs approx 7.75g.

Condition - The charm is in good vintage condition but does show some signs of age and wear, including surface wear to the gold. There is a tiny bit of enamel detailing to each bee, this has now almost completely worn away. The hinge mechanism still works well and the charm clicks closed. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. Please see photos.

*Please note the box and chain pictured are not included in the sale but the charm will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
