This vintage gold book locket is such a lovely piece, perfect for a book lover! It has beautiful detailing throughout, with a a gold cover page that opens to reveal a moving page inside with an oval cutout just waiting to frame a tiny photo or memento.

The locket is made of 9ct gold with British hallmarks to the back cover for the maker 'IJLD', 9ct gold, London and the date letter 'C' for 1958.

The locket measures approx 17.5mm tall (including the fitting at the top but not the jump ring) by approx 12mm wide (when closed) by approx 2mm deep and weighs approx 1.7g.

Condition - The locket is in good vintage condition but it does show signs of age and wear. There is surface wear to the gold throughout, including light dings to the front cover. The jump ring is currently pushed closed. The hinge mechanism of the locket still works well and the locket clicks closed. The page inside does move when the locket is opened and has a small dark mark towards the bottom. There is also a mark on the back inside cover of the book, possibly from when a photo was previously stored inside. Please see photos.

*Please note the chain and box pictured are not included in the sale but the locket will be shipped in a new presentation box and pouch.*
